High Hope King loves the game of golf. Unfortunately, he is not very good at the game. He has VERY high hopes that he will get better at it. His friends decided that he was the top dog, the KING of HIGH HOPES. They gave him the name High Hope King, but they call him King for short. King likes this name. It reminds him that if he keeps working at his game, he has reason to hope that he’ll become a better player.
About the Author
Lorrie Scardino is a keen observer of behavior, especially the whimsical, endearing and downright funny things people do. She likes to use animals to tell stories that capture people’s behaviors. “Children relate to animals and are eager to learn about all kinds of creatures. I’m delighted when my invented creatures make a child laugh and spark imagination about how people think and relate with one another.”
